    Hi everyone,

Algae is alittle bit of a problem in my tank and siphon cleaning my substrate is quite hard to do since my tank is a nano tank and whenever I try to clean it with a siphoning tube, I end up stirring the substrate so bad the water gets very cloudy.

So with that, I'm thinking of getting MTS to help out the cleaning and aerating of the substrate. I know that they can breed very aggressively, but I don't have much livestock to feed in the tank so overfeeding doesnt happen. Hopefully that helps keep them under control.

Is there any bro that can spare some MTS or sell them to me?

Looking for about 10 - 15 of them.

    Thanks

    Where you live?
They breed fast even in tanks that I only feed once every 1 to 2 weeks.

Re: Any bro have Malaysian Trumpet Snails to Sell?

Well I typed out a long post last night on Tapatalk but couldn't post. OH WELL. Let's try again.

Even if you don't overfeed your fish, you still have an algae problem, which would provide food for the snails. Even in these conditions the MTS would still breed prolifically. And once they start breeding, they can be a pain to remove, and even impossible to completely eliminate. So you should think twice or thrice before you introduce them into the tanks.
If you need algae control, I might want to suggest either a non-hermaphroditic snail (Nerite/Apple Snails) Please correct me if I'm wrong about those. Check first about the reproductive methods of these snails first. Or, you can try shrimp like Yamato shrimp, but that's only if your tank parameters suit them.
You say yours is a nano tank. How big is it and what substrate are you using that would cause so many problems? I have a play sand substrate which is extremely fine, and have brown algae over the floor of the tank. I sometimes use a dropper to squirt water at the floor to dislodge the algae. Then you can remove it using a siphon.
All of those livestock, even the MTS can be found at C328. They have feeder snails hanging in bags near the counter, and the other more "uncommon" or "exotic" snails on the betta table.
