    Hi folks,

here's my newly re-scaped desktop tank. On the left in the back are some crpyts up top as well as nanas that taper down. around the crypts and nanas are a mixture of differnet mosses. The short bit of 'stubble' you see here and there are dwarf hairgrass.

so suggestions on what else i can do please? should i just let the hairgrass grow over all the bare bits of the aquasoil (i.e. form a lawn)? should i add in other plants? would really appreciate some advice.

Try planting your eleocharis in tighter clumps of lesser leaves.

You can duplicate the left mound on the right with a different size. Thus create a valley effect.

to add to the comments above... I think you definitely need to get more hairgrass try plant them in small crumps about 1/2 inch apart, to give you an idea--like what you would see in a padi field
