Help anyone?
I broke the top inlet nozzle on my PF-128 apa prefilter yesterday when I was washing it. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement piece for it? Would Jaleco parts work with it? I see the Jaleco brand on the valve, even though it's an APA (same company?).
As you can see, I broke the tip of the nozzle because I twisted the control valve when it was attached to the nozzle.

you best compare a sample when getting a replacement.
so your bypassing it in the meantime? or holding it in place with those hose clamps from hardware shops?
IMHO if it were to happen to me, i end up will buy new one...

The most i'll just get one that fits the threads in the top of the prefilter, and just plug the hose in direct without the valve.
Fish hobby is expensive (well any kind of hobby is), if I had to buy a whole unit instead of replacement parts, I'll be bankrupt! Especially when I dont have a job. Haha!
APA prefilter is 40 bucks +-...

I suppose this may be a common problem, as the instructions emphasises that such breakage can happen. The plastic at that part under the rubber ring is obviously rather thin and prone to breakage.
It seems the part is hard to get and you may have to do without the valve. Unless you must have the valve, I don't see the real need for it, especially of your main filter already has such an anti- backflow valve built in.

I don't really think the valve is necessary also. At the most, you can control the flow from the in, since the part that broke was an out. I might super glue it back if I am hardworking enough, lol!

Glue itself may not work, as it will still be a weak joint which is much weaker than the original joint. One possible way to solve your problem is to get a short piece of tubing (either of plastic or metal cut to 2" long), which fits nicely into the inside of the broken parts thus joining them back strongly. Glue can then be applied to secure the tubing in place.
But first you must go looking for the right tube size that fits nicely. If you do find a piece that is loose, you can wrap plumbing white tape around it to increase the tightness.
Hope this helps. to solve your problem once and for all.

Glue won't work.
If the pipe still can fit, you can consider epoxy a short length of pipe. Then use a on/off tap or similar instead.
But kind of unsightly thou.

If you require parts for APA filter, can go to Petmart at Serangoon, they can order for you.
