    Hello everybody,

I've been keeping 3 Amano and about 28 Cherry Shrimp in my tank for a while now. Up to this point they just eat stray algae around the tank and some leftover fish food that is fed to the Harlequins and Cardinal Tetras that share the tank. But recently I've been thinking of buying some algae tablets to supplement their diet, which bring me to my question.

Which brands of algae tablet are best in your experience for shrimp? Also, those meant for plecos are perfectly fine, correct?

    Sincerely,
    Ganthet

    Curious also.
Hikari is darned smelly. I hate it.
And very fast to dissolved leaving mess.

    Any other good brand?

so far been using Hikari, no complain, both my shrimps and fishes seem to like it... Heard of premium brand Shirakura, but never use it before, saw it before around $10 for small package shrimp food...

Ive been using Hikari with no problems too. If you find it hard to remove the uneated food, you can always put the algae wafers in a feeding bowl (you can use clam shells/cockle shells for this).

I dont think the harlequins or cardinals would munch on the algae tablets at the bottom of the tank, as they feed mostly from the middle portion of the tank. As for the yamato, i think it might take just a small chunk around, but definitely not the whole piece or majority of the algae tablet.
