Great! The algae finally gone huh! Now time for some serious planting again!
Are you going to replace some of the top gravel since you say there are still some BBA there?

I'm planning to

a) set up a pump to pump water from bucket to tank.

b) run a diatom filter.

c) siphon gravel up into the bucket through a net.

that way I intend to pick up the top 2 cm of the gravel surface and then PP bomb it followed by a peroxide soak. *i would use bleach, but i think its too toxic.*

alternatively, I can catch all the fish out and do it in situ.
