Hi gan77, before you buy, maybe you want to consider some factors. How many tanks you plan to use the misting kit for? How big is your tank/tanks? Then maybe the below info might help you make a better choice.

In the earlier discussion I had with Eddy on my thread "Exo Terra Vivarium" I've shared that there are 2 reputable, affordable and available misting system to get. One is the Exo Terra monsoon that can support up to 6 nozzles, 1 gallon water tank and simple to use, misting cycle mode from 1sec to 2hrs running 24hrs. Can use optional remote control and simply plug and play. Except the misting nozzle spray is not as wide area and mist droplets are bigger, so there might be dry spots not able to be mist and big water droplets might cause the tank to look very wet.

But on the other hand, Mistking is more professional and can support up to 15 nozzles. Wide area spray, finer mist. Digital timer can set to specific days and specific timings running 24hrs. Troublesome part is it does not come with water container and must DIY own container which need drilling hole at the bottom for feeding the water.

Can also check out this video that made a comparison on the 2 misting kits too.

Having seen the comparison, each have their pros and cons, as I'm currently having only an Exo Terra 45x45x45, but would /might upgrade in the near future...as thinking to add in more Gtfs.
Therefore, I believe that the moonsoon Mist system might not be able to support if I upgrade. But also puzzle whether I DIY is better or to buy the whole set instead.

That's why I needed guidance or advise from fellow bros...
Hope to hear more comments...before diving.

Re: Misting System for GTF tank

I'm considering to go for the Mistking setup also. If you are looking for expansions in future and being a serious hobbyist I think Mistking is a good investment.
Mistking accessories are easier to obtain from GC. As most standard misting system only comes with 2 nozzle heads. (unless u get the value kit) If you want to expand you require to buy more tubes and nozzles. Of course you can also have a choice of water tank capacity but might be unsightly.
But if you want simplicity and nice looking misting system kit, plug and play type I would go for the Exo Terra Monsoon. Even the nozzles you can just suction cap it to the tank, wherelse for Mistking you require to bore holes on the tank tops or buy additional suction caps.

So far I have bought 4 sets of mistking systems and they are excellent. The spray by the nozzle is very fine and the pump is super quiet. It is surely a value for money investment. For the reservoir, it can be as simple as a big pail or a simple all glass tank or even those plastic feeder holding tank.

    Hope this helps.

I'm going to be quick here with a note for future references.

Measured with a hygrometer, the room temperature of my home exists at a typical 75%-85% humidity. This is already in the range of what white tree frogs need, and a misting system may not necessarily be very cost effective in that sense.

Re: Misting System for GTF tank

I have also found another Bro selling another type of Misting system of 18 bar pressure. his name is Desmond from Eppaquastore. Look more reasonable.

Just sharing, maybe some bros also wanted to setup their system too... can try google this site.

The pump from EPP looks crude and is very loud. I have seen it in operation.

The pump form Mistking is one with proper casing and NOT as loud. Price wise about the same.

Personally, I have used 4 sets of the MISTKING system ( I orederd direct from US) and they are value for money.
