Lagenandra is a genus of flowering plants in the Araceae family.[1] It consists of 16 species of plants that are endemic to Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and India.[2] The genus is similar to Cryptocoryne, but can be distinguished from it by its involute vernation. Cryptocoryne on the other hand exhibit convolute vernation.[3]

The process of convolute vernation involves the wrapping of one margin of the leaf's blade over the other. This folding mechanism makes the emerging leaf look like a tube.
In involute vernation both margins on opposing sides of the leaf are rolled up forming two tubes that meet at the midrib of the leaf.

I will try to get crypt parva someday and put them together. Now Lagenandra is inside my tank, will see how it turns out.
