rule of thumb for lights around 2-3W per gallon. Since you want riccia to bubble suggest on the high side.
Hi,
Completed setting up my tank yeesterday. had xmas moss as backdrop and right side panel of tank. had riccia on the foreground. used slates as terracing. on the upper lawn, i had glossostigma and hairgrass at the back. riccia had not bubbled yet. i don see any co2 bubble in the flipper from my Dennerle CO30 set. would like to know why, it has been about over 30 hours, only very few bubbles. is there something wrong or should i give more time and wait? how much of CO2 should there be in the tank (in terms of mg/L)? I tested and mine shows about 4mg/L CO2. About the lighting? how many Watt per gallon? please advise. Thank you.

why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

4 mg/l is ambient CO2 concentration.
