Not sure about this.
But last time in my 29 gallon jungle tank, I saw quite a few time that my amano is chewing my cherry shrimp, I'm not sure whether the cherry shrimp is just molted or what, but it skin is deep red.
Hi everybody,
I have about 28 cherry shrimps and 3 Amanos in a ten gallon tank, introduced at the same time. The cherries are about 2-3cm long and the Amanos are as much as twice that. During feeding time, they squabble over the algae tablets that are added to the tank, and I notice that the Amanos are very aggressive and push the cherries out of the way. I recently spotted a dead cherry in the tank and I have reason to suspect it may have been injured due to a fight with an Amano.
Does anyone have experience with this? Your help would be very appreciated.
Sincerely,
Ganthet

Amano may attack dying shrimps and snatch away food, but they do not hunt or kill healthy shrimps as far as I know.
