That said, what kind of tank are you looking to set up? Communal tank for Tetras?
Yup, communal tanks. My results today were:

    - pH 7.2
    - High Range pH 7.4
    - Ammonia 0.25-0.5ppm
    - Nitrite >5ppm
    - Nitrate 20ppm

Read up on forums regarding using Stability + Prime and feeling pretty good about waiting out this time!

    Thank you all again!

I think 5G isn't enough for the Tetras. Why not go the whole hog and get a 1.5ft-2ft tank? It will be easier to monitor the water perimeters.

Hehe, get bigger tank and get bigger school of neon terras...nice!!

By the way,i think you should take it easy when doing water test...just test it once a week or even every 2 weeks, unless you really like laboratory work..lol

On fish, try to select those swimming very fast and active. Most lfs shop keepers are too occupied to take care of their fish..so it is really up to the buyer to select healthiest fish.

Don't worry and Be happy!!! Enjoy keeping fish..Lol...

Check out my Blog on planted tank, good for newbies ( i am lazy to retype all the info i know, so please click and read below link... i hope you don't fall asleep while reading)
