I was into the hobby when PL was still the "in" thing. Looks like it LED... does it and can it penetrate 1.5ft height tank?

Hi, I am new to this hobby and just started on 1 Dec. My tank is 3ft x H50cm x 1.5ft. I am currently using the beamswork led 600 for my 3ft tank without CO2 and fertiliser. The lights are switched on about 7 hours a day and I have 3 new leaves sprouting from my anubias which are at the bottom of the tank and there are also roots coming out from the leaves of my java ferns. I chosen the LED as it is running with 129 x 0.06w and it will reduce the cost for running in the long run and I only have low light plants. The design of the lighting is also slim and looks sleek for my tank. Hope this helps.
LED is my choice. Less heat generate lower tank temperature good for plant but need to look for a proven planted LED lighting
LED has it's good and bad side.
Good: It generates much lesser heat as compared to T5, and is able to achieve the same amount of brightness with much less power.
Bad: Technology still quite new, and LEDs are not really stable as compared to T5. My 2ft LED just blew out yesterday, with 6 X 3W LEDS all going off at the same time. I only used it for barely a year. Depending on whicvh manufacturer. LEDs might be able to be repaired diode by diode, or can just throw it away as it cannot be repaired due to manufactured on a circuit board. On top of that, LEDs are also much more expensive as compared to T5.
Qngwn if YOU are handy,you can trouble shoot the lights.
I think the led driver is faulty,the leds should be ok.

The driver is fine, it is the powering the rest of the LEDs, but better to no use it until i repair else the power might be too great and burn the remaining LEDs. the LED diodes have already burnt out with a black dot in the centre. The short lifespan of the LED might be possibly due to the insufficient heat transfer away from the diodes themselves.

My current set up with 3w per bulb is very good. Plants are bubbling well. Think it's green element or something brand. From east ocean aquatic

So far, i've completed my DSM HC carpet in 1.5ft tank (done within just 4 weeks with the 45cm/130 LED Z-Series LED light set)... will be testing it further once flooded to see its long term effectiveness.
