Red tiger lotus - No red enough

My red tiger lotus is more brownish than red. I have seem them in LFS and they are much more reddish. I have tried dosing more iron and even uses iron tables but it doesn't seem to help.

Has anyone got any suggestion?

Not sure whether this helps, but this was my experience before.

I had previously REDDISH red tiger lotus as in the pic below. After sometime though, I noticed the redness becoming subdued. I continued with the usual dosing of iron. Yet, the redness wasn't the one that I saw before.

One day, I cleared up the tank's surface from obstructing leaves and as a result, more lights managed to reach the plant. And yes, subsequently the redness returns.

So in my case, I supposed the lighting was at fault. Just my experience....

By the way, you tank look nice and you APP and tiger lotus look healthy too.

The same thing happened to my rotata indica (red).

It is not as red, in fact it is pinkish.

Is it normal for this type of plant but i am sure that it is red as i saw it somewhere.

Is it really due to iron shortage or is there any other nutrients that are lacking.
Light is definitely not the problem for my tank.

Light may play some part in some plants in bringing out the red but low NO3 coupled with good levels of other nutrients including CO2 should give you the red you want.
