Shrimp Tank

This is 1.5Ft tank no chiller. Is there any light to recommend because my current light not bright enough. Can I keep shrimp is this tank? Is there anything should I add before I buy shrimps. Please advice

A 1.5ft T5 light should do well, or a clip on led.
Prior to adding shrimps to your tank, your tank ought to be cycled, you can read up the stickied threads
You can probably try with the neocardina shrimps like cherries/sakuras etc since your not running chiller.
