Mainly bottom though will be comfortable being on rocks and plants in the mid level. At least, in my experience.

I find C. Habrosus to be mainly bottom dwelling. The only Corydoras that can be considered mid dwelling would be C. Hastatus.

Thank you guys for the valuable feedback. I got a shoal of hasbrosus to share the orange shrimps tank and absolutely love them to bits
On another note, ain't Corydoras*pygmaeus also mid water dwellers? I keep them and they seem to exhibit that.
Definitely bottom dweller else scientist would have name them quitee differently. The snout and mouth structure is a giveaway I guess

C. habrosus mostly bottom dwelling.
C. pygmaeus occasionally mid-water, especially in the company of C. hastatus.
C. hastatus mostly schooling in mid-water but will happily laze on the bottom after a hearty meal.
Hatchetfish mostly mid to surface dwelling. Most contented to stay under floating plants.
Bottom hatchetfish... erm... bro... that one is dead liao!!! HAHAHA!!!
Happy, healthy & fruitful year to all in 2013! Huat ah!!!

Colin, on the contrary... just testing my twisted sense of humor nia
