Hasbrosus - Mid or Bottom Dweller?

Mainly bottom though will be comfortable being on rocks and plants in the mid level. At least, in my experience.

Re: Hasbrosus - Mid or Bottom Dweller?

I find C. Habrosus to be mainly bottom dwelling. The only Corydoras that can be considered mid dwelling would be C. Hastatus.

Thank you guys for the valuable feedback. I got a shoal of hasbrosus to share the orange shrimps tank and absolutely love them to bits

On another note, ain't Corydoras*pygmaeus also mid water dwellers? I keep them and they seem to exhibit that.

Definitely bottom dweller else scientist would have name them quitee differently. The snout and mouth structure is a giveaway I guess

    C. Pygmaeus are also considered bottom dwelling. However, as mentioned, they do swim in mid water from time to time.. Especially if they are commed with C. Hastatus.

    C. habrosus mostly bottom dwelling.
    C. pygmaeus occasionally mid-water, especially in the company of C. hastatus.
    C. hastatus mostly schooling in mid-water but will happily laze on the bottom after a hearty meal.

Hatchetfish mostly mid to surface dwelling. Most contented to stay under floating plants.
Bottom hatchetfish... erm... bro... that one is dead liao!!! HAHAHA!!!

Happy, healthy & fruitful year to all in 2013! Huat ah!!!

Colin, on the contrary... just testing my twisted sense of humor nia

BTW, Cherabin, mis-spelling... should be habrosus, not hasbrosus
