If they are on wood and on the substrate most likely seed shrimp. A picture would be useful

Yeah, those sound like copepods, when small they look like white dots and they dart around very quickly, when larger you can see their tails and antennae as they feed on micro algae on the tank glass.

Small fish and fry will treat them as snacks... some people even specifically breed them to feed their fish too.

Get a couple of Indostomus paradoxus to keep the Ostracoda amount low. Those look more 'shrimp safe'.

My green tetra hardly touch those Ostracoda, maybe you will have better luck.

Re: White dust speckle like creatures

Is this one of those rare sighted fish?
Any idea where might have stock now?
    Are they similar to gobies?

I try to put bumblebee goby and i dont think i can see any shrimplets now.. sobs... sad

Try Putting two hyperactive otto and 3 mini corries now.
Hoping the pods will drop and get eaten by corry from soil.
They are coming from soil anyways.

Haha nope, indostomus is not exactly rare, but just not commonly seen because of its relatively drab appearance and nutritional needs (require small food size).

Ostracods are more difficult to control in population as they are a less preferred food by the indostomus. Or they reproduce in larger numbers haha, I'm not sure which. Copepods are a favorite with them though can get the fish from GreenChapter and I'm not sure but there seem to be some that look like it in c328.

This indostomus black white thing I saw in c328 is $28 that is even more expensive than my tank lol.
I think cory is effective bro.
    But i use mini ones.

Those are panda loach ask pony tail uncle for help where to find them. But they are great for heart attack by lying motionless on your grass patch. With them you will pay more attention to your tank!
