New 10L tank set up

Hello everyone, I am getting my new mini aquarium going, a 10L nano tank. I have a hang on DoPhin H80 hang on filter, a Dymax LED clip-on and added UP Aqua Shrimp Sand.
I have a Java fern tied to a piece of wood in the background and two plants on the left side of my tank, though I'm not sure what they are. I am planning to tie some java moss to the piece of drift wood in the tank.
I plan to get a nice betta fish, a bottom feeder and perhaps inverts such as cherry shrimp or dwarf crayfish.
Any advice on stocking options and such? Thanks

I suggest if you plan to keep shrimps, why not let it be a full shrimp tank? bettas will sure to eat the shrimps up.

confirm your betta will eat your shrimp,tested and proven.

Just as matter of when.

Thanks diazman and bennyc for your feedback I won't get a betta. I've gone to c328 today and gotten some celestial pearl danios and pygmy corys. Read that they're shrimp friendly. Not planning on breeding the shrimps, just for ornamental value. Any experience with dwarf crayfish in community tanks? Will they prey on the tiny CPDs or shrimp?

Also got some java moss. Just stuffed it into the sand temporarily. CPDs and the corys love swimming in the moss

dwarf crayfish are pretty aggressive if there is an opportunity they will prey on them.

Your 10L is very small, it gives CPO many opportunity to suddenly snap its tankmates while they swim past. But there are cases where nothing happens. My guess is CPO aggression level varies.

Thanks guys! No CPO for me then. What do you think about killifish? Saw one at c328 today, really nicely coloured.

Haha i think you need to do some research 1st. Kilifish Have short lifespan, prefer a dark substrate, dim lighting. Why not just get a betta, they come in very beautiful colors, variety, low maintence and very hardy. You dont even need a filter go for entry level.

Find out more about the fishes you are interested in and see if it fits the condition of your tank. Saves you from troubles after you get them.
