    RASCAL COLLECTION presents, Project "CRAZY".
DATE of set up: Feb-May 2013
(Reason: need collect money for some of the stuff like RO/DI unit and etc. as i trying new products too and my soil expire around that period, depend on the water parameter)

Hi Guys, i going to redo my set up

I going NS soon and also my soil going to expire soon, I would like to redoing it

Even my previous/current are doing well (shrimps are breeding well), I did a lot of research and "thinking"(hahaha) on how to improve my set up. With the help/input of some master breeder in Singapore, this is what my "Blueprint" or plan for the next set up. Its nothing special or what but yeah

Please feel free to comment on it as I can improve it or if it wont work.
    Thanks

Don't think good idea to place prefilter after the 2260. All the best for your new project.

Looks solid. But I worry too many prefilter, 2260 may not be able to handle and motor may overheat

Hmm you right. May be i put both the EHEIM substrat pro(1st layer) and PH monoballs(2nd layer) inside the 2260. what do you think?better?
By the way thanks for you input.

Then there is no reason it should not work, since he is already using it.

Thanks for your kind words bro rascal...
But I am far from being a master and teacher.. Still learning and it's always a learning process in shrimp keeping..

Even 2 exactly same set up might have different end results at times, yours is somewhat a little different.. Hahaha.. I won't advise you to have 1 inlet right at the end though.. And the rainbar might create more problems when it's so long as well..

    Happy shrimping..

Hope to see your new setup soon.

By the way why don't you put the inlet at the centre instead of the end.

Think it will helps to get your other partition water into it faster.

    Just my opinion.

Re: Rascal Collection presents, Project "CRAZY"

i'm thinking, maybe u should place the inlet in the 2nd or 3rd compartment, instead of last compartment. can have a more balanced inlet flowrate?

Re: Rascal Collection presents, Project "CRAZY"

Dont worry about leak problem. if you do it right it should be fine.
But with 4 inlet your suction power to the filter will decrease.

Re: Rascal Collection presents, Project "CRAZY"

hey bro, you didnt mention how big is the tank.
    I read you filter spec

Aq. size up to approx 1500 L
    Pump output approx 2400 LPH
    Power consumption 65W
    Canister volume 23 L
    Dimensions H x W (mm) 355 x 570

Its a big and powerful filter
If your tank is 1/4 of the water volume mention
It should be alright for 4 inlet.

Re: Rascal Collection presents, Project "CRAZY"

1 inlet at a compartment will end up having that compartment dirty...as it is drawing water from the rest of the compartment.
Which means waste goes thru the bottom and surface on the inlet compartment.

Rain bar going across...Erm....after going thru your prefilter, chiller....end up the water from rainbar might not be able to flow to the end.

    Hope this helps....
