Emerse planting

Hi,
Anyone, can advise on emerse planting. Arr....like what type of plants to go for and how to actually do it.
Saw it on the ADA 2001 Catalogue, Amano do have new stuff(dunno if it it consider new) that is emerse planting.
I got myself a similar(Zen)looking rectangular pot. Like to fill it with plants and add some water to place in little fishes.

that one is more considered terrarium
emersed plants don't need water covering the soil
like normal land plants
they can also be grown hydroponically

for terrarium plants
i remember amano using some crypts
hydrocotyle verticilata
hairgrass
and some more i can't remember

the oriental plant book also has a section for them
quite nice plants

jelly: if it's what kind of plants, just check out the various sites, but if it's how to get the plants to emerse than I am also trying to figure out. dianne walstad's ecology of a planted aq says one of the ways is to let the plant grow till water line then remove water till the plant is emmersed then let it grow. never tried it myself

Do you mean grow them as in a whole pot in water first then remove them to be without water? Mmm....saw this picture in that catalogue too. I think, I will try get some to interpret the Jap language. Anyway...thanks to all the advise. I will try out.
