    Wow.

It seems that your "successful" 200-fish 2" tank is now a disaster area! Fin rot and algae and what-not. I'm sorry to say such results are not totally unexpected!

Another quality, non aquatic-related post from mrs budak!

Why? I can even tell he will have mega problems with his ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels, his fishes will start dying, he will get all sorts of water chemistry problems....

These are expected results due to over-crowding. It's known as New Tank Syndrome (NTS). Several members have alluded to it in previous posts. Thus the several calls not to over-crowd the tank.

Unfortunately ah, got people don't listen to advice..... tsk tsk.

I thought you wanted 200 neons, how come became painted glass fish? So how many glass fish did you get?
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

    Yeah, but at what price?

Buddy-o, these conditions you've listed down are akin to CONCENTRATION CAMPS in the WWII. Pls check em out on the net if u don't know what i mean. Fishes will be jampacked n dying to jump out, tensions rise, ur equipment will be hard pressed to keep up with ur bioload.
Maybe ur thinkin of havin a tank like those in the lfs, where there r many fishes in a small tank, but bear in mind those fishes will be there temporarily, and would have(hopefully) be transferred to a better place with better living conditions.

In my goldfish tank, I really saw a snail eating up the goldfish waste. And ota, it used to eat goldfish waste when I don't feed so frequently. Now it also eats goldfish food; chewing on the waste during snack time.
So the snail eats the shit, n WHERE does the shit go? via teleportation to the sahara??!! I'd be u dont have much plants at all, n those in there won't be really happy...

    no casualty today!
    i declare it successful!
So u term success where by fishes manage to scrape out survival? Sorry for saying but these are rather low expectations in this hobby.

Please, try to take all this criticism in a positive light. read up more to understand this hobby, its all about ying n yang, balance is the key. Not so many fishes.

BTW, just curious, why dont you post a pic of ur tank here? im SURE it'll be nice to discuss bout it.
knowledge is alway better shared than hoarded
