Hi , I'm trying to get a 20-25gal tank going , and I'm wondering if i can do just with an OHF or should i get another media filter as well. For the fishes , I'm thinking of one or two kissing gouramis ,but i believe my tank is a little too small for them so should i go for them? A couple of tetras and albino cories from my old tank and perharps clown loaches.

Get the best equipment your budget can hold. You never know as you might upgrade your tank in the future and you can reuse some of your equipment such a filter.

From my personal experience almost get the biggest filter based on your budget
