Algae for IALPC 2013?

Hello AQ Patrons!

I have a beautiful field of algae? Do you think I can win IALPC with this scape?

Jokes aside, can anyone identify for me what algae this is? I'm trying to get rid of it!

Your algae carpet very nicely. Very nice. Haha. I think it is normal green hair algae. Put some oto or nerite snails.

But the 3rd photos seems gda.

Both are happen if there's imbalance between co2 and fertz. Or lack both.
Assuming you already has sufficed flow and maintain its cleanliness

Managed to get half of the stuff off through scrubbing and siphoning. Have not had the lights on for about 2 days and have done a double dose of excel over the last 2 days. Will be continuing this way for another 24 hours before turning the lights back on.

I have added a second eheim to get flow rates up and co2 on yellow/green always. Its kind of a new start up this algae breakout came about mid way through the 2nd week so it was still relatively clean.
