roughly 84pcs x 56mW = 4.7W + power supply loss
Hi, last few days just purchase an UP antenna LED light.
How do I find out the wattage for the LED?
The box only provide: Luminous intensity 1400mcd/1pcs
Color temperature 8000k
Power 56mW
LED Lamp 84pcs
Another question is, does it suit a 2ftx1ftx1ft low tech tank?
Thanks

For led how many watt per gallon calculation seems meaningless. So far from what I have read it is lumen that matters. I am interested because of the aquasky i brought. Any pros can share ?
Lumen, watt per gallon, all meaningless for plants. If you want to know what good for plant, you need to look at PAR (Photosynthetically Active Radiation). Unfortunately it was never mention in light packaging, so just try and error.
But with existing packaging seems the only way to judge the LED is acceptable or not is simply the Lumens and the Colour temperature. But led sure looks much brighter then T5 lights. Even if the light grows plants slower you feel much happiers![]()
Thanks bro.
