You need to prime the filter. There's a hole on top for you to pour water in. if that doesn't get the water flowing. what I do is suck at the outlet to start the siphoning action.
hi , i recent got a atman 3336 external filter. But i am not sure wat r the steps to on the filter.
I fixed in the 2 pipes. In and Out. and switch on the filter. The filter made some bubbling sound and it became quite but its still running. But there is no water movement. The filter juz draw in a bit water and stop there.
Is there some steps i gotta take to on the filter? Do i need to adjust the valves on the inlet and outlet? Pls advice.. urgent.. thanx...

I'm back!

Atman 3336 does not have self priming ability, therefore you have to pump out the air from the filter and let water into the cannister.
I normally connect the hose from the outlet of the filter to a handpump that you use to pump water out of the tank when changing water.
Then manually pump out the air from the filter. U will see the water start flowing into the filter by this time. when the filter is full of water, then start the filter.

Just curious... doesn't the filter come with an instruction manual???

Hi bro,
Fill up the canister with water to the fullest, close the lid over it with the water overflowing, on the pump & it should run as air has completely escape from the canister
