Navanod introduced LED light from Inwares using T8 light set (3 strip of LED) or T5 (1 strip of LED).

Generally 4 ft tank also have deeper depths, etc 2 ft, you might wish to check if the light is able to penetrate such depths for the carpeting effect, if you wish to have that.

Is yours a Discus tank? Remember seeing it in a thread title. Discus are sensitive to water conditions. Would a planted tank make the water change difficult?

no.. just CRS and other shrimpsbut my tank also 2ft.. solite type 4 is enough.. but Try LED less energy.. Just ensure your light can penetrate your 2ft of depth

I on only 2 as it was to bright for my shrimps(scared they blind, hahahha) as i scared it might cause algae problems. Each day around 5 hours. (1hours morning, 2hours afternoon and 2 hours night). I think if longer might cause algae problems. I believe for planted longer time of light should not be a problem (6-8 hours) as last time i did full planted tank before.
