Hi:

Just to share some experience here. I got a hailea 1/2 hp chiller and I put it under my 6 ft tank cabinet - loover doors and removable side panels on both side. Previously I had to use timer for 3 fans to blow and also suck hot air out from the cabinet but that was not accurate as there is no way to know when the chiller shall be kick in. Don't know how to fit a thermostat for this also. So I had feeling that there must some control/thermostat inside the chiller to kick in the power when the water temp reach 1 deg beyond the setting, and there must be some wiring connect to the thermostat also.

After some investigation and found the appropriate connection point, which is the connector (like the PC 12w connector for most the accessories like Harddisk, CD-ROM drive). Removing the 2 of connector pins is easy simply use a small flat object to press the pin so the hook is not latch. Subsequent join my 2 wires of my extension bar and secure within the two pins clips below. Push in the pin and there is no extra wire expose. Connect back the connector with the female side connector.

Power up my chiller and set the temp to a much lower temp to ensure the chiller power will kick in immediately. Whalla, the extension bar instantly power up and my fans simultaneouly activated .

Anyone has this requirement can consider, but doing it at your own risk, may be voiding your warranty.

Cheers
