are malayan shrimps good for plant tanks??

i been watching my shrimps they like 2 bite of the leaves from plants and makeing things messy which makes things pretty troublesome

It depends...basically shrimps are 'gardeners'. They dun really go for healthy plants but decaying plants/leaves.(eat) What you see them 'plucking' at your plants - they are basically cleaning it.
Messy...unlikely unless it is Ricca that you are talking about - sure to pluck every/most out...they got good plucking power...if u ever put yr hand into tanks and shrimps just 'swim' to yr hand and start plucking...u feel it...quite strong...
