The plant with the red plant is a 'fittonia'
It is a terrestrial plant and unsuitable for the aquarium =/
Hi, just set up my first planted tank yesterday afternoon, any masters here able to tell me what plants are these and are they okay?
I bought all of these at Seaview, all of them came in bags of water.. So i guess all aquatic plants...?
Please do let me know fast if i should take away any of these plants if unsuitable for this tank, and if any of these plants need special care/treatment.. Thanks!!![]()

With the red veins* sorry
Yeah, the fittonia plant is mainly for terrariums or paludariums, they require moist/humid environments (but not submerged).
Most LFS that sell such plants don't usually segregate them into emmersed or immersed categories, so it's quite common for people to assume they are for aquariums.
Maybe you can remove it from your tank and house it in a glass jar instead? That's what i did as part of a mini terrarium type scape.![]()
Neither is the light green plant with dark green vertical stripes if I'm not wrong
okay got it. the fittonia, and the tall plant behind with green vertical stripes sticking out of my water?
what a waste haha. anyone wants these plants from me foc?
how about the plant with the brown/red stem but green leaves...? is it okay?
Just plant them in the soil, they are quite nice in pots.
