A quick trip to Gan's today

Hi guys,

I went to Gan's fish farm today as the Peru shipment arrived last night. Amongst the shipment, there's 2 types of cories.


01. Corydoras loretoensis
Suggested retail price around S$8


02. Corydoras sp. cf. aeneus "peru-green stripe"
Suggested retail price around S$15

The Greenlines as they are common known here are limited in supply this shipment. Only 40 pieces. Perhaps by Saturday, they will be all snapped up.

Also seen there are .....

03. Corydoras adolfoi
04. Corydoras robinae
05. Corydoras sp. C123
06. Corydoras arcuatus
07. Corydoras ambiacus

Also, there's a special tiny zebra catfish that looks like a parotocinclus. Looks even better than the Zebra oto. Retails for around S$25 to S$28 if I recall correctly. According to Mr. Gan, it's a newly discovered fish and have not be exported elsewhere yet. I think only 50 pieces available and there may not be a next shipment for this species.

And of course, Gan's have 5 tanks of new apistogramma. Looks really nice but I can't ID them. Saw someone else scooping earnestly from the tanks into many pails this morning already.

Last but not least, the peruvian otocinclus are in again. Also due are the Columbian and Brazilian ones. So those looking for otocinclus will have a field day this weekend.

Does Mr Gan need to quarantine the fish for a while before offering for sale?

Yes. For those that are not so stable, we won't even get to see it. Of course, there always disease outbreak sometimes in the sale tanks too.
