WC Macostroma Need Help!!

I stop buying Betta from Traders these days, esp the LFS took in trade-in fishes to resell.
Normally I inquire about the line/genetic of the fish from the Breeders before I would purchase the Betta fish.

Buying Mac is another challenge, esp the wild caught that had not been fully quarantined...I spent more on fish medicines only to realized the fish had come with the disease when it first arrived.

So what had been said about 'keeping Mac alive for 6 months' is very appropriate for us. In hot weather places, chiller unit or aircon room would be essential for the wild Mac.

How do you differentiate wild caught Macrostomas from captive bred?

Usually the dealer or seller would be able to tell you.
My 2 captive bred are F1 from wild caught parents. They are easier to keep...

Not sure whether the dealer would "spill the beans" cause my assumption is that wild caught are definitely more pricey and much sought after than captive bred. Hence would there be a case where captive bred are tagged as wild caught?
