I had trouble growing HC and after getting a fan to bring the tank temp to 27-28c saw that my stem plants begins to bubble profusely, but not much growth on my stunted HC. Nothing scientific but it shows the higher rate of photosynthesis - must be also good for my HC.

So decided to take the plunge to rescape my tank. Added 2 more bags of ADA soil and rearrange scape. Pull out all the stemmed plants and here is what I get.

Water is very brown, maybe the ADA soil particles. You need to do a big WC to reduce that or you might get some algae problems later on.

Saw a small power head in the tank, can it be too strong that the particle is not able to settle down.

Powerhead seems to be for diffusing CO2 as seen from the position of the ceramic diffuser. Why not fix it near the filter outlet instead?
