Welcome bro,
Every nice Arowana it really need a big tank to grow. i'm keeping discus hope that you can share some of your experience.
I am fish craze since I was small.
Guppies, Goldfish, fighting fish, African Cichlids, plants and tetra, discus, marine fish and coral, Koi, blood parrot, and now arowana. Had been doing these non-stop for almost for the past 30 years. Hehe, but I will not claim myself as an expert. My biggest success in fish keeping will be Cichlids and blood parrot as I managed to get them to breed.
And my failure will be the Koi and blood parrot(not typo, yes, I meant blood parrot)!!! After my inital success with Koi (they grow huge and I can handfeed them) and blood parrot (breed and grew to jumbo size from very small), I can't seems to keep them anymore after I move from my old house. I tried to rear these 2 spices many times again after the old one died and they were always so frighten and shy, which was so frustrating
I now have one arowana and about 20 Koi in my pond. The Koi I gave up on them liao as they never seem to be growing and are always hiding.
For my Arowana, everything is looking great except I need a bigger fish tank. My aro size is about 50cm and the tank is only a 4ft by 1.5ft tank. Hope to get a budget one here...
