My 3 feet Shrimp Tank Set Up

Hi guys,
I haven't been up dating on what i done for my shrimp tank. i started shrimp rearing in May 2009. Along the way, i change from a 40 cm tank to a 2 feet tank and finally a 3 feet tank. For the 40 cm tank, shrimps had died on me because i don not have enough experiences.
for the 2 feet tank, shrimps all alive but does not breed. And until now , the 3 feet tank, is where i see results. Now its time to show my humble shrimp tank.
Hardwares of shrimp tank :

3' x 1.5' x 1.5' tank with rim( which i took over from houxiang )

Resun CL450 ( running a 24 Degree C )

1050 flow rate external canister ( some unknown brand, but still works perfectly )

3' 3 T5 tube lighting set ( 1 warm light , 2 bright light. Some unknown light set )

rainbar as output, improvised air sponge filter as inlet.

black quartz sand and GEX soil green packet. 1 cm thickness.

Water parameters :

pH : 6.4
GH : 5dH
NO3 : barely exist

Fertilization :

Weekly dosing of 1 capful of Seachem Excel

Flatworm and hydra treatment :

1 drop of vemex (mix well with tank water externally before pouring the solution in ) every alternate days.

Fauna :

Crystal Red Shrimps grade A-SSS , snow white and golden ( unknown number as shrimplets keep appearing )

Taiwan Fire Red Shrimps ( unknown number as shrimplets keep appearing )

Oto ( 2 numbers )

Ram Horn Snails ( unknown number as baby snails keep appearing ) shrimplets edited to baby snails

Malaysian Trumpet Snails ( unknown number as baby snails keep appearing ) shrimplets edited to baby snails

Freshwater abalone aka limpet ( 5 numbers )

Flora :

Java moss / Christmas moss / Mini Pelia / Horn wort / Frog bits / mini Slavia / US fissdens.

Feeding :

3 day rotation
day 1 : Mosura Excel
day 2 : Mosura shrimp specialty food
day 3 : Mosura shrimp tonic and bio-plus
day 4 : Mosura Excel
day 5 : Mosura shrimp specialty food
day 6 : Mosura shrimp tonic and bio-plus
day 7 : starve day

haha, thats being lazy of me. cut and paste haha, thanks for your comment, it took me 6 months plus ( and numbers of mistakes )
to get the result today.

and actually the production line started 2 months back.

Number of bellied 11/02/2010 : 6 S grade and 1 Golden

Haha, nothing much to see. same as other brothers who post their tanks. i'm actually getting a Toyogo plastic rack (each tier 95kg) to put 3 tanks for my shrimp rack project soon. Poison Poison.

Yah. Burned quite a big hole in my pocket, around 1-2k . haha

Calculated. There's 1 which can withstand 95 kg each tier (model number 892 series), i just need a 2x1x1 feet tank is around 65-70 kg max( with everything inside, mostly will be soil/shrimp/driftwood with moss) . i will also re-enforce the corners so that the weight will spread out evenly. base of the rack will also be flat ( rubber sheet below ).

i may post the photo of my room, so cramp till no walking space.

Sound very interesting to me..... you guys are lucky that you can do whatever you want in your room......... really envy man..... Wish my CO can agreed to let me have one room for my setup... but guess that will be in my dream... hahha

haha, i still live with my parents, my room is basically a store room ( because there's no store room in the flat ) the tanks are actually besides the window. Two big wall mount cupboard with computer table, One queen size bed, One 3 feet tank. just imagine my room size. haha

The noon sunlight nvr get in my balcony only abit of morning sun but nvr kena my tank.

1 tank 2ft split half I keeping sakura, yellow when hotter days temp abt 28 degree.

Then 1 tank 2ft only fan I keep CRS grade B & C hotter days which is below tank temp abt 26.8 degree

1 more tank 3ft wif chiller now still cycling. Chiller not on yet but I try run chiller see the kick in & rest time already.

remember there will be more frequent kick in time for your chiller after you just starts it. so don't get a jump when you hear it.

i actually wants to discard one side of the wall mount cupboard because most of the things inside is my brother's ( he live outside with my sister in law ) i guess i need to clear as much things as possible back to him. Then i will have a full wall for more poison. maybe a work table and a small computer table for laptop instead of desktop.
