Hey there, its been quite sometime since i last updated here...

I do a weekly 30-50% water change each time as the bio-load is quite heavy (8 adult guppies, 8 habrosus cory, 2 pygmy cory, 2 oto, 7 lampeyes and some guppy frys) in the tank now.

manual scrubbing on glass to remove visible green spots and algae

Don't worry. When changing water always use water conditioner. KS age ur water in a pail with conditioner and air stone.
Try not to chiong in the water. Cushion flow by ur hand. As slow as you possibly can.

i siphon out using my trusty Suisaku Pro-Hose (M) which never fails me, and when refilling in by using aged water from my 2L x 3 bottles that is in my room so the temperature stays the same as the remaining tank water. Use a plastic cup or small plastic container as a "support", placing it on the surface of the water, and pour the water into the it until it overflows and let it stay floating by holding it with 1 hand. By doing this your fishes will not get shock by the water gushing in and won't mess up your soil/substrate or plants, minimal at least.

I'm using hang-on back filter, with sponge filter (not shown in this thread, which i modded using a standard sponge filter + outlet pipe/tubing with duckbill filter outlet which will drive the air up and output on the surface of the water)

C328 is really famous for their cheap price. That explain why they are so popular.

Top part (duckbill outlet was taken from an external breeding box's kit together with its airstone hidden in the transparent piping)
Bottom part (from another standard bio-sponge filter)

    Both connected together

airline tubing connected to the top part of the setup, hence it drives the air in from top and the air get suck in from the bottom through the sponge and pushes out through the duckbill outlet (mouth), creating the aeration on the surface of the water.

The frys are getting more and more, and i have separated them out to another bare tank with plants just to house all the frys that bred throughout these 2 months, they are giving birth almost every saturdays... that's overwhelming!!

up till date: the total amount of frys = 120pcs

some of the frys are in the main guppy tank which i've failed to separate in the initial stage, so gotta let them grow up in the main tank

these photos can't show you the actual amount of frys i have, but i've counted, its between 110-120 (about 5-6 batches)

So far only <5 deaths due to siphoning/transporting, other than that they are growing up pretty fast

I think the main factor would be the airpump for circulation + water quality (need to do quite frequent water changes/siphoning of wastes as they dirty the water as fast as you can imagine) + 4-5 meals per day
