    Hello there

Have a newbie question about shrimps. I keep the following in 4 different tanks - Cherries, Sakuras, Tigers, Orange.

Do any of these species need some brackish water?
Or just a tiny little bit?
Or a little once in a while for minerals?
Or don't bother, they can't take it?

I think Yamato requires some brack, but I don't keep Yamato.

Currently I keep them in de-chlorinated tap water. Thanks for advice .

Brackish water is needed for BREEDING Yamatoes and Oranges. Their shrimplets which are larvaes require brackish conditions to survive, whereas their shrimp form needs normal tap water.

Once these larvaes turn into shrimp form, they are then needed to transfer from brackish water back to our normal water to continue to grow and breed-laying larvaes.
