The Amazon Abyss is full of hyperbole, though. Real scientists wince when watching the show.

for those of us who couldn't get there, better than nothing loh.
I was just commenting to Esther about the show Wild Indonesia, where they assert that the probosis monkey came about because the Island of Borneo has been isolated for millions of years.

I've got the book. Contemplating the DVD version next.

The Blue Planet DVD series is definitely worth getting.

I dig anything by Sir David Attenborough, the Life series are on my wanted list for a long time now.

becareful some of the older series are being haphazadly put together. I saw complains that the episodes are re-ordered from what Sir David intended thus screwing up the whole story line. Some of the video quality is also questionable apparently not very well transfered.

Also just informed by budak the Blue Planet series has special editions which has three additional programms.

Kudos to the production team of that show.
Are you referring to this, Honda Presents: Animal Planet Insights : Equator: Rivers Of The Sun, instead? I am watching it now but it's on Animal Planet.

And yes, anacondas can be found in the Amazon basin but does NOT behave as those moronic fakes in the film. The largest reported is 10 meters long, but the film would rather let you believe it's about twice the size.

Haha, yes, they can get that big but they're never that fast or that aggressive... Watching that movie is like watching a large shark attack people on dry land.
