Hi my friend, I think you need to check for alot of presence in the water that you can't see or smell. Filter does not remove ammonia or nitrate. You have to put in media and breed bacteria to help break those harmful substance in your tank. Check your water PH, GH and KH also. Do you use anti-chlorine? Have to go read up and understand more. Sorry for your shrimps, welcome to keeping shrimps, slowly learn and you will get it right.

BTW I see alot of coral chips. They will increase PH to about 7 or more. If you want to keep shrimps you have to take note the different types and check whether they are suitable to be in that condition. Most shrimps prefer PH ranging 6.2-6.8. Unless you keep sulawesi shrimps which will prefer 7.8 - 8.6. Water temperature also plays a part. Most shrimps prefer chilled water at 24 - 27 degrees. Sulawesi will prefer 27 - 30 degrees.

Re: Help needed, all shrimps dead after letting it in to tank

    Thanks for the quick reply,
Hm, so i should remove the coral chips then.
Should i change to soil and start putting those platforms of mosses that i see in c328? Currently i'm using my dad's koi fishtank sand
i saw everyone is using those soil.
And all of them look really cool!
I really love crystal reds though really wanna breed them but low budget to invest in a chiller.
Another question, should i remove the plastic from the plants and plant them in?

i think firstly u need to change the bedding to soil.AND i recommend you to get a big circle oxygen emitter as shrimps love oxygen.hangover filter is required to maintain this kind of setup just one oxygen wool filter really cannot make it.then temp dont above 28c. all the best in shirmping

Consider an external or Hang over filter with some bio-ring /substrate to cultivate good bio environment. Also note the water parameter (PH/GH as mentioned). Soil will help a lot here. Adding in a Fan would help to keep the RCS/CRS happy. Probably a 3-4 weeks cycle would stabilize the environment.

I learned a lot of setup detail from forumers here, try a search, read thru some info before moving on next plan.

Re: Help needed, all shrimps dead after letting it in to tank

Did you read faq?? if you can make cherry overturn mean your tank totally cannot make it.
Did you acclaimize your shrimp properly??
Did you check your ph before you decided to add in coral chips?
Did you know the function for guy whom add in coral chips (or you just monkey see monkey do)
how long have you cycle your tank?
what sort of filteration did you use i look at it like there no filteration can't even see a sponge filter.
if you are a real beginner than get a sponge filter will serve 2 function there no need for whatever mention (big circle oxygen emitter i doubt you shrimp need a jaccuzi).
Since you are a little boy unless your papa decided to sponsor you a chiller my advise don't get them you are just killing shrimps only.
The gravel you use did you check will they change gh??

The list go on dear boy best help is READ ALL THE FAQ & GOOGLE before you come here ask why shrimps die or why you KILL your shrimps........
AND please FOR the SAKE OF THE SHRIMP COMMUNITY PROVIDE MORE INFOrmation ABOUT your SETUP example are tank size etc.......... parameter etc...... filteration etc.

Sorry Mod keyboard jam at caps.

Hi, I'm helping you coz these soil ate not cheap. If you want to get from LFS, that's ok with me. Generally the folks here will ask you to get GEX, ADA, BW or Benibachi substrate for your shrimps.
