This picture was taken at Biotopeshop in April. Very beautiful specimen. Wonder who was the lucky one to have brought him home...

I don't know if this is the one but I've scooped a male specimen with one of his ventral fins, red and black with the cacatuoides marking on it....something seldom seen on A. Cacatuoides?

Maybe someone could enlighten on this?

hmmm... i got a pair of A.cacatuoides "triple red" from biotope in may..
am i the lucky one?

it looks somehow the same... haha..
too bad the male had passed away, if not can take some shots of it.
anyway i do not have a digital camera.
luckily it spawned for me...

how's your brood doing now? should be a good size by now?

i only managed to keep 1 male and 2 females alive, and they actually spawned for me too..
now with a brood of 27 in total...
happy to be able to able to keep them alive.
the new fries are about 6mm in size now... very healthy looking..
the parents of these new fries spawned again last wednesday.
about 20+ fries again.. size about 2-3mm

now i have 40-50 fries to look after..
the worse thing is i'm serving NS now..
only able to check on them on weekends..
luckily my dad is free to help me take care of the tanks.

Wow!! Thats quite a lot of fries on hand!!! How I wish my apistos will start spawning like yours
