    Anyone knows the ID of this barb? Forgotten the name on the picture...



    Picture taken off a calender from Taiwan at Teo's farm.

    Wonder if we will ever see this barb in Singapore...

Starting cheap, now have Cryptocoryne beckettii, C.beckettii var petchii, C.crispatula var.balansae, C.griffithii(Melted! ), C.nurii, C.parva, C.pygmaea(Melted! ), C.tonkinensis(Melted! ), C.walkeri, C.wendtii 'Brown', C.wendtii 'Green', C.wendtii 'Green Gecko', C.wendtii 'Tropica' and Cryptocoryne x willisii

    looks like an african.
    why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

    these are very beautiful african barbs, B hulstaerti, commonly called the butterfly barb they stay small not exceeding 35mm in lenght.
    take good care of them they are little gems.

    We hardly ever see African barbs around. There are a number of nice barbs out of Africa.

    How come you guys missed this on B. hulstaerti fry?
