Yup...

I got this almost 10 years back. Second hand from the first ADA agent. Full set - stand, rack, light hood and tank. Paid $600 (IMO a steal comparing to actual price)

The 20cm ADA cube from the previous post - I carried it back from Tokyo LFS.

For 600 bucks, it is indeed a steal at that time... Considering that now, for a 2ft tank, is cost around 140? Think the lights are the killer...

Ya... the hood carries 4 x 20watts. I use only 3 tubes x 18watts. If all four is use, I guess my fish need sun glasses

It houses a cooling fan too!

Sad thing is recently it start to wink wink kinda problem liow. Green Chapter or Sera House sells them?

It'll be great if you could post a pic of your tank with your ADA equipments. As for your light problem, bring it down to Green Chapter to have it checked out what's wrong before changing a new one. Alternatively you can also bring it down to NA, maybe you just need to replace some parts thats all.

Graaagh. It's really nice equipment. I wish I had those. But I'm content with my brandless glass tank...because I don't really want to afford those right now...

Good use of space but I think a nice branchy piece of wood(DW or bog), about a third of the length of the tank, place behind the plants on the right would really spruce the scape

Yes, did brought down once to NA. The boss was kind to fixed the problem. It been like a year and now problem's back.

Hi,

unfortunately the light hood is no longer in production. The picture which is more detail is available at ADA catolgue (arr..the older one not in 2006). It comes with a built in fan. Holds 4 nos of 2ft tube (Jap version - 58cm) can make do with NEC tube 18watts (cheaper) ADA though is 20watts cost $35!!!

You have the option to turn on 2 tubes or 4 tubes. Alternatively, like me I mod it (replaces the ballast) now 3 tubes

One down side is the enclosed environment tends to built up heat from the lights, athough the built in fan does reduce it. It will be good to run on a chiller.

I am looking into ordering the light stand featured in the 2006 catalogue. Cost about $500 plus!

As for lights I might for now settle for non ADA to hang on the stand till I get my next budget.
