    Batfish found

    Hi,
I have found my batfish. It died behind my standing bogwood. I am very upset why it died?

    Regards,

Batfish? Isn't that a marine fish? Unless it is a newly invented common name for a freshwater fish...
    Read me! http://justikanz.blogspot.com/

    I'm crypt collecting... Starting cheap, now have Cryptocoryne beckettii, C.beckettii var petchii, C.crispatula var.balansae, C.griffithii(Melted! ), C.nurii, C.parva, C.pygmaea(Melted! ), C.tonkinensis(Melted! ), C.walkeri, C.wendtii 'Brown', C.wendtii 'Green', C.wendtii 'Green Gecko', C.wendtii 'Tropica' and Cryptocoryne x willisii

Oh, juggling is hard work, man!...

I suspect so. That's the problem with common names. Anyone selling them can come up with their own common name and we will be all confused... They used to be called 'angels', 'finger fish', 'monos' etc... Now 'batfish'...

That is a estuarine fish, not a true freshwater fish. You need alot of upper water space for them to swim and a good flow rate, since they swim pretty fast. They are also prone to skin diseases if the water is too fresh.

    Hi

Thanks for your concern. I have been keeping it for 2 months since I bought it from a fish keeper.
It has been living healthy and well in my fish tank.
As what all use to say," If you take care of your fishes, they will take care of themselves".

    Thanks and regards,

    Koolman
