He is trying to tell you that, if you dose enough NO3 (nitrate), your APP will grow like a weed, regardless of the lighting amount.

To add, in your aquascaping thread, when he asked about regime, he is asking about how often and how much you dose your fertilisers. So that better and more accurate suggestions could be made.

Get Potassium Nitrate KNO3. It is available from NA and costs about $10 (rough guide) for 1kg I think.
I've also keep APP before. My lights were a bit strong, but i think mine grew like weeds because of NO3 and the adasoil i was then using. In the 1 month I was away from Singapore, it completely overtook my whole tank.

Try to trim it such that it remains only a thin layer, it is much better this way. If you let it grow too much afterwards, it get to get uprooted easily when you start to pull the top off.

I suggest you read about dosing from the beginners area in this forum. You can look up E.I. by Tom Barr on the stickies there. Gives you everything you need to know about dosing ferts for your tank and how to maintain it and even a rough idea of how it all works.

It grows flat and nice when under very strong light. I supplement mine with seachem flourish once a week and daily dose of seachem excel. Gravel used is ADA soil. I suppose you could experiment abit with APP in a seperate small container first if you are that determined

HI kaym...maybe my lighting not enough...currently using T5 (24Wattsx3)n my 2ft tank height is 18 inch(1.5ft)+lightstand another 2inches...what i think maybe the light penetration to the APP is not enough...
