need help again, The frys are able to swim today so I feed them with fresh hatch bbs. However it seems like the bbs is too big for the fry. What should I feed them then? Liquidfry? Does C328 sell liquidfry?

i think my apisto fries fed on infusoria in their first few days...i made sure i had moss in the tank a couple of days before the fries hatched, and they seemed to get the food they needed for the first few days until they were big enough to eat the decap brine shrimp eggs i fed them.

I do have moss but the parent never lets the baby wander off too far from them.

    Robert,

Real shame. Hope they spawn again real soon.

Since you have a breeding pair, can you share some information. I am really interested to know the distinguishing features between your male and female. Various sites I have searched mention features like the spines in the dorsal fin, the shape of the trailing edge of the dorsal fin and apparently most definitive, the black spots (pure black or with blue spangles). [The red belly of the female apparently only when it is ready to spawn; so not there otherwise.] Don't know how much is correct so info from you would be useful.

    Thanks.

Souldn't be because I saw them guarding the fry deligently, making sure that they did not wonder off too far.

they could have been spooked by something, which would then cause them to eat the fry. i've read of such things happening before where a pair of rams ate their fry after 2-3 days

there will be a next time since your rams have spawn before.

yup nicholas is right...usually once they start breeding, you'll see them repeat the performance sometime in the near future
