you can use a normal aquarium scraper that has a handle or a scouring pad or a plastic card.
just do not apply too much pressure as your tank may be scratched.

Razor blade + Hot Glue + Plastic fork + Hotglue + Long stick
Never fail me. Cheap pack of razor blade hotglue it to a plastic fork and extended with a stick of your choice. One stroke and clears anything on your glass. Just be careful not to slice your fishes/plants.
Credit card or any other card that has the same make is fine, its definitely the cheapest and one of the most efficient way to do it for me.
Adoketa, Breitbinden, Paciquamis, Diplotaenia, Elizabethae, Mendezi, Inka, Agassizi, L046, L066, Crystal Red Shrimps
All kind of tools you can use like aquarium scraper, any cards that is plastic (eg. credit card), glass magnet, sponge and your fingernails.

i use sponge to wipe them off
If you like snails, you can try a freshwater nerite snail. One is enough to clean up my 2 ft tank glass. Can get 2-3 if you have a bigger tank.
You can stop green spot algae with good CO2 and PO4 with respect to the amount of light added. Green dust is another matter though.

I usually use credit card or a razor for really stubborn spots.
I have a friend who swears by using the Japan-made Magic Sponge, can be found in NTUC etc. Never tried it in tanks but I have used it on any other stubborn stains at home and it can be removed!

the magic sponge is simply magic
i use it too and trust me its magnificent
one scrub and almost anything comes off
and no scratches!
I will be buying magic sponge today!! From what I read, the gsa will be stuck in the sponge instead of flying about in the water and reattach again when using razor or credit cards etc. Looks like no chemicals as well. What a great product!
Dun really agree as my Co2 is pretty high at ard 30 ppm with 2x150w Mh. Still kenna alot of green dust and GSA.
