    hi all...my sister is in manhattan now...and she says there is an lfs at chinatown there...

    what i want to know is what equipment is good to buy in comparison to local(SG) prices?

    i am more into nano planted so if any US bros can give me some insight do let me know...thanks in advance...

    do keep in mind that electrical equipment for us works on 110v while singapore uses 240v. you'll need a step-down transformer.

    oh...hmm....thats not totally true...nowadays many products build to a range of 110v-240v

    For mobile phones, cameras and laptop perhaps. Have yet to see these kind of power ratings for aquarium equipments.

    Anyway, there are some fertilizers if you are keen to try. Kent Botanica series for one.

    Hi benkho, if you into planted tank, why not get yourself a bag of Eco Complete Planted Aquarium Substrate? The US planted tank hobbyists all gave thumbs up to this product.
    So far none of our lfs has brought in this product yet.

    But i think in america...you should be allowed baggages of 30kg each...so maybe no probs.

    That only apply to those equipment that require DC adaptor. Aquarium equipment fiilter pump, heater, solenoids, etc are ussually drive directly from AC.
