After more than a month running my first 1ft fish tank, I decided to rescaping it with a more serious attitude . Here's the original tank:

    ******Wed 12 Mar 2008 - 7h30pm =.= *****.
Spending my whole afternoon for this, finally finished

Put in Gex soil and arrange my stones. I tried to arrange them to look as moutains.

... Put in plants, including US Fissiden, UG and two other plants from Colourfuls (my ID is really bad =.=)

.... Pour in water and Light up!

.. Behind the scene, all my equipments:

Wow! A great improvement! Just curious... where is your shipwreck now?

Your selection of rock is very tasteful

I'm more worried on the weight hanging on the tank. Are you sure that tank can handle all those equipment you're hanging? Just a concern thought.

Thx I still have a long road ahead to learn from bros here. My shipwreck is sinked under my bed .

About the weight hanging behind the tank, I have been using it for more than a month with no problem. Anyway, it's a Gex tank with black plastic ring coverd so let's see how durable is Gex .

Actually my most worry is the plastic holder. It's used to undertake shampoo bottles,.. which are as heavy as a Eden 501 + Nutrafin. Anyway, I changing it once every two months. Only $2 @ Clementi

How long have you been keeping your beautiful Betta? Your tank is not covered right?

I kept it in the old tank for more than two weeks. It has not jumped out yet . May be the fresh beef I feed him everyday holds him back

ya.. when i bring him back from C328, he refused to eat any kind of dried betta food ($6 wasted =.=), dried/fresh bloodworms also. I heard that Thailand hobbists raise their betta with beef.. so I gave it a try... and he responsed well till now . His colouration's also better.

I also tried pork & chicken but he doesnt take.

All bettas eat everything even chocolate cake!

But you need to starve it for couple of days, then try feed the betta dried food. If you are willing to go extra mile or trouble buying frozen beef heart all the time then i have nothing to say.

Even the pricey arrowanas are trained to eat dried food , too.

    hope this will help you.
    cheers

    Talking

    ******Tue 25 Mar 2008*****.

This is my tank set today after the Nitrite spike =D. Still thinking how to make the background plant nicer. Any advise from Pros here ?

The shrimps are racing out for food . I got a Half-Tiger Tooth and a few S but they are still hiding at the back of the stone .

This Shrimp love to eat things on the UG leaves instead. Still dun know what he has been eating =)

Here comes to my beautiful UG, really fall in love with this plant

Oh, it's a miss if I dont mention my Cleaner team, horn Snails. I have 4 horn snails fighting day by day with hair algae. Much better than an Otto which stressed my CRS some more.

This is my favourite shot today:
    (1) Two little darlings are fighting for food.
    (2) Big MaMa appears =)
    (3) Big MaMa goes for food also =)). Leaving the two children aside crying

At first, i didnt quite like the scape, as it looks sort of stiff and unnatural, but upon maturing, it does infact look pretty good.

Well done on your 2nd attempt ?

Congratz, maybe they will if given the right water conditions. Work on that.

Not really, like what torque6 says, given right conditions they will still breed, mine did and still breeding in a 1ft tank. Good Luck.
