But how can you maintain a healthy (trouble-free) planted tank without any cleaning crew? Tell your wife the Otos are there for a purpose... the Yamatos too... SAE is good also... puffer will control snails... now you got yourself a tank full of livestock

Thats e issue haha... i plan a couple of Otos=SAE??, 10-15 cardinal / neon tetras, a couple of coolie(kuhlii) loaches and mayb another kind of tetras with rosy barbs thrown in for colour... glass catfish.... viola.....

yamatos mayb not coz i saw my shrimps eat dead fish before so dun like the idea... And also i never know if the shrimps eat the fish after its dead or it caught it while alive... nah im not a cruel person

But she likes those fat fat goldfish so mayb can trade off haha....

introduce her to AQ and tell her this.
" Would you rather i spend money on things that cannot be seen or would you rather i spend money on something that can enhance our lifestyle so that at night i can reserve my energy for you?" (read destress equates better sex)

I have used this countlesstime(minus "at night i can reserve my energy for you") and it works. To further enforce the point, i would always drag her along with me to LFS and sponsor part of my purchases even when we go for trips overseas.

ei.... same as altum bro above... bring her along after you brought her somewhere she wants to go.... let her see the pretty stuff sure got things that she likes..... like my wife, she likes fat fat goldfish haha so it solves a bit also.

of course, sponsoring her isn't a bad way also
