Just started this 2 weeks ago. No CO2 at the moment but may consider that later depending on advises I get here.

Equipment: ADA cube tank, Eheim 2211, Dymax 1ft PL, Mr. Aqua Tornado fan.

Substrate: Gex. Planned to use ADA but no stock at my favourite LFS.

Hardscape: ADA wood x 3, small pebbles.

Please feel free to give any advise. Thanks in advance.

Thats what I am trying to find out too cause the LFS can't tell me the name as well

Would be great if the pros here can ID all the plants for me. I was told those are Glosso in the foreground. The sides are normal hairgrass. The red ones are Tiger Lilies?

Swords (the coffeeshop term for Echinodorus) can grow dense and their leaves spread out A LOT.

A little too sparingly planted for me, but the layout looks really good. You're planning high or low tech?

Great clarity on the ada tank and details in your photo shot. Can share what camera are you using?

You are right about that too I had to trim off a couple of leaves because it was casting shadows on the Tiger Lily.

Too sparingly I had a hard time finding space for the new plants which I just added in (Mini Nanas, Tiger Lily and Downoi). Any advise?

hehehe, i had a 30cm by 30cm drawn up to plant my stem plants sometime in august. I estimated i need at least 60 pots of rotalas etc. Even the aunty at y618 called me crazy .

Try to balance slow growth + fast growers within the tank. The echidoris will do just fine.

I was looking at canon ixus 80 during the pc show but $429 was way over budget for me. Have to love the image stability.

    Hi Jaws,

Your Tiger Lily or Nymphaea Lotus Red will grow huge leaves pretty soon.
Mine are having 10x8cm leaves after 2 weeks, up from 3x1cm
For a 1-footer, that's covering a third of your tank.
I assume it is a 1-footer based on your Dymax length.
Still, it is a beautiful plant.
I'm hoping the leaves on my Red Tiger Lotus will ultimately provide shade to my Cryptocorenes and Nana Petites.

I was told it wouldn't grow that big since mine is a cube low tech tank

Transfer early to avoid deep rooting before it mess up with other plants when you relocate it.
