Holiday! How you going to feed your fish? By auto feeder or those foods that can last 1 week? Are they good for fish? Any idea how you guys manage when you go for a trip? And how about the plants?

For holidays, use auto feeders. There are also auto fert doser. Do not use those food that'll last a week in the tank. You probably find dead fishes when back.

For NS, give up fish keeping. Concentrate on protecting our country.

I'm not sure of the other brands. Only used before Ehiem liquid doser. There are other cheaper asian brands around though.

AUTO FERT DOSER, you know? Put liquid into it and auto feed itself. I know Eheim has it, but heard very expensive.

I keep tetra in my planted tank, recently when I was away for holiday for about 10 days. The fishes were ok when i got back, except for the aglae.

I went on a 6 days holiday too and didn't feed my fishes in planted tank. I fed them just before leaving home. Came back, all alive and well. I think they can last a week without food.

if im on holiday, at most i go for 1 week. I feed them a couple of dosers, do a large water change, and leave

If its only a week... you don't have to feed them when housed in a well planted tank.

Beside the food! How about the liquid fert for the plants, also do you cut down the lighting period? Or you use the Auto Fert Doser? Thanks!

liquid ferts problem , guess got to go back to weekly dosing instead of daily EI. Separate doses for NPK, traces and FE.

blue, now that you have mentioned it, ya ehiem liquid doser is an alternative, but anything ehiem should be expensive.

Best not to feed them if you are only away for a week or so, most fishes die from overfeeding or overfeeding induced poor water conditions...

Even if using an auto feeder, I would suggest that you set it to feed a small amount, and maybe once every 3 day...
