    Hi George,

    Welcome to AQ!!

Tropica's fertilizers are not commonly available in Singapore. Very regrettable. So you may not get too many comments here.

Dennerle's Deponit bix is available here and I'm using it. Plants like Echinodorus spp. grows very well in it. In fact, the roots were so thick and long that I have trouble trying to pull it out of the tank.

However, a lot of the aquarist here have switch to Asian brands like ADA or GEX/Five Plan substrate and base fertiliser and have very good results for a lot less money. I'm not sure if you have these brands over there in Romania.

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

From what i read, tropica plant substrate works like ada powersand that provide nutrients as well as trapping excess nutrients from water. In fact both look very alike.

    gigi,
You can always use "fert ball" to do point fertilization after the initial effectiveness of the ADA soil wears off.
Point fert is easy for echinodorus since are they relatively large specimens.

    Gigi,
ADA soil does exhaust and needs to be rejuvenated either by topping up and or fert inserts. It is also advised to supplement liquid fertilizing with Green Brighty Lights Special. I use Brighty K, GBSL, Step 2 and ECA with good results for my 2 year old ADA substrate that i now top up a little every 3-4 months. I also use other fert inserts like Ferka Rosetta for my crypts with very good results. Leaves that were curling seem to straighten again and look fresh. Echinodorus plants that were growing short were also suddenly growing longer and more rapidly.

Ok thank you all for answers
    But come on say something
I had AS ADA Amazonia were very satisfied with it
A very good soil but I having some 20 species echinodorus ended quickly
    I bought Dennerle depoint mix
And no surprise it worked more than 4 months with 6 species echinodorus
Not satisfied with Dennerle not worth the money

I heard FERKA products would be very good
are better than the ADA fertilizer?
    I mean solid fertilizrea
    He used someone ferka
    And he was happy?
I refer to a particular type of plant
I mean all types of car plants can be fertilized with solid ferka
    Thank you

I'm not sure I understand you correctly but I have had good quick visible results with Ferka Rosetta capsules for Echinodorus, Ottelia and some easy types of Cryptocoryne like C. wendtii's.

Yes, generally soil does provide more buffer for nutrient hungry plants.
Gloriously grown red plants in the first shot you posted Gigi.
