Hey vratenza,
I am currently using ecco 2234 for my 2 ft tank. From my understanding, ecco pro is similar to its brother series, with differing filter compartments. Both have the adjustable valve for both in puts and output.
Hi, I'm looking for a filter for my 2ft tank and initially thinking of getting the eheim pro II 2026 but decided to look at the Ecco Pro series for their simplicity. The only concern I have is whether Ecco Pro is flow rate adjustable?
Can anyone advise?
Thanks!

i'm using the ecco pro 2036 for my 2ft.
the shut off taps come standard and you can use them to adjust flowrate.

thanks! so the flow adjustment is in the taps themselves! no wonder I cannot find it on the unit itself in all the pictures I saw on the internet...
Great...so now I can seriously consider this series![]()
how's the performance of the 2036 for the 2 ft tank? any review will be greatly appreciated!
I was actually thinking of the 2034....... reason being it seem like the more energy efficient one compared to 2032 as both of them (2032 and 2034) using 5W while the 2036 using 8W.
only complain i have is that it doesn't come with a self priming feature so i have to be careful during WC or canister maintenance.

performance is good except for the grouse i mentioned earlier.
flowrate is further cut as a sponge covers the inlet (shrimp tank) and it also drives my chiller. had to add an additional powerhead to increase circulation in the tank. if you use a rainbar, then circulation may not be an issue.

eh? But I thought Ecco Pro have "self primng" according to the eheim website
http://www.eheimasiapacific.com/prod...r_eccopro.html
Energy-saving filter, powerful and efficient
Easy handling
* Large volume self priming
* Easy to use shut-off taps
* Individual fillable filter basket
Very quiet running smoothness
* High quality ceramic shaft in perfectly formed sleeve
Excellent biological and mechanical filtration due to optimum water throughflow
* Prefilter : very effective trapping of dirt particles means minimal dirt contamination of biomedical leading to longer intervals between cleaning
* Filter baskets filled with high quality Original-EHEIM Filter Material
then should be user error![]()

I'm also using 2234 for my 2ft tank. IME there's no need to control the flow rate because the resultant flow rate does not cause too much turbulence in my tank.
Yecch!
thanks for the feedback! I am actually thining of using it for a paludarium...so must be able to control the flow rate to make sure the water flow and drip at the right spots
of cos the filter must be versatile enough tobe used back on a full aquarium if I ever decide to go back to full planted aquarium![]()
can be adjusted by the valve
got myself a 2034 yesterday!![]()
